Car Caravan Spreads Holiday Cheer to Disabled Chicagoans for 50 Years
A holiday caravan paraded through a Chicago suburb in December 2021, bringing holiday cheer to people with disabilities. The 50-year-long tradition was put on by members of the United Cerebral Palsy Seguin of Greater Chicago.
The car caravan made stops along the way to deliver gifts. The caravan enabled people to enjoy the holidays in a safe way during the pandemic, noted Joe Mengoni President & CEO of the cerebral palsy organization. The event was founded by the late Cook County Commissioner Al Carr, who passed away this year, and is hosted by his family each year.
